So who's walk is it anyway?
We're all called to do different things in our walk with Christ. One person's walk can be far different from another persons walk. There are times when we might think our accomplishments and strengths pale against those of another.
There are also times when others might feel they know where our walk should be. Those people seem to constantly be shoving a map in our hands, encouraging us to do things and walk in directions that just don't feel right...for us.
Some people's actions are lined with good intentions. That holds true many times in the Christian life. There are people who feel their path is ours, their strengths are ours...and that our calling should look like...you guessed it...theirs.
God gives us all different strengths and as Christians we should try to get to know ours. The only way to do that is to be prayerful and develop a personal relationship with God. A quiet time set aside to pray, think, and listen. You'll find that making a little quiet time to get to know God, will also help you to get to know YOU.
When we take that time to get to know ourselves and our strengths we can truly be empowered.
Empowered to accomplish things in this life that fulfill us and help us grow.
When those people with good intentions try to have us follow their map, we can confidently stop and say...that's ok..God has a different plan for me.
No plan is more important than any other, but we will meet up with people who may not see the importance in our journey.
Thats ok....it's not their walk anyway.
