Home sign

HOME sign time........

What is a home sign you ask?  Well, you may have seen them around Pinterest and Blog world.  They fall under the catagory of Subway Art.  It's a sign with all the places that you have lived (or traveled). I put my own spin on them and have made them for myself and friends. 

You can do them on wood or canvas.  I choose canvas.  

You first have to plan out what size/shape you want, the places you would like to list...and what size letters you will use.

Once you have a plan you can pencil in your words.

Once you've penciled in your words....start painting......

Then for a final touch you can give it an 'aged' look by lightly pulling paint across the canvas with a large brush.

Then you can take a picture of it on Instagram and make it look even cooler...
